I took the weekend off from training, right now Im trying to be careful with overtraining-I have one class that is stressing me the fuck out with an unreal workload, instructor is a straight up bitch.
Exam, project, paper, essay for project, discussion question 2 chapters of reading and 2 quizes all in the last 10 days, how in fuck this jackoff thinks Im supposed to get all that done while working 7 days straight I dunno, at this point, Im saying fuck it, dont care if he gives me an F on the project it will make my grade a B so fuck him.
Anyways, today was arms.
Got to the gym and my training partner was there, we dont always train together but he asked me what I was training, told him arms and we went to it.
Our gym is hot as hell, its not quite metroflex but its close.
Started off with close grip warmed up 135, 225.
First set was 315 I got 5, next was 365 I got one, 315 again I got 6, and then 225 I did 15.
Next we did pullovers to presses on the pressdown manchine.
First set the pin was on 11, did 17 reps pullovers and 10 pressdowns. Next was on 13 Got 12 pullover and 8 pressdowns. Last was the stack 5 pullovers 5 pressdowns dropped to 10 and got 8 more pressdowns.
Next was seated over head extensions on the machine, just went for reps and squeezed, did 3 sest of around 12 reps slow and controlled.
Bicpes, we started with preachers, this guy I train with is a curling machine, I am not.
cambered plus 25's I got 12 reps. Plus 10s added I got 6 45's on each side I got 3 and they were 3 hard ass reps.
Next was standing dumbell curl we did 3 sets with 55's I got 12, 10, and 8 and I was smoked.
Next was the horizontal preacher machine, just squeezed the peak contraction holding it for a good 2 count on each rep, my god my shit was burning, didnt count the reps just tried to endure the pain.
Last was 2 sets of reverse curls on the same machine same style, we were both jacked looking hes hyuge dood. People were looking at us like WTF?!

Yesterday I did a higher rep workout, I dont like the shit never have.
Started off with squats, warmed up with 135, 225, 315, first set was 405 for 17.
Thought I would die.
Next was 405 for 15 thought for sure I would stroke out.
Last was 405 for 15, again I thought the end was near.
I can jack up big weights but the little ones always hand me my ass!
I went to extensions...stack x20
Stack x17 Stackx15
Then the cybex leg press with close stance.
16 plates x 20 20 plates x 17 24 plates x 15
Then was squats goldy style, 135 for 20 185 x 13 185x12
DONE! I was breathing so fucking hard and I was sweating so badly I had to sit down and collect myself before I left for work..holy shit, give me heavy weights any day over this shit.

Todays installment will be a 2fer....back then hams,calves, abs
Back:
Started with bent over reverse grip rows, warmed up 135, 225.
First set was 315 for 15...still a bit tight but felt good.
Jumped it up to 405, knocked out 7...not bad.
Jumped to 455 got 3, dropped to 405 got 4 dropped to 315 got 12..holy shit, winded.
My buddy showed up wanted in on the lift so we went and did chins. He weighs 265 @ 5'10 Im 275 @ 5'11 havent done chins in forever.
I did 4 sets of 5 reps, thats right 4 sets FIVE REPS, they killed to, he did about the same.
Then we did close grip pulldowns just squeezed the piss out of the upper back.
4 sets on these I didnt count reps I just kept going til the bar came out of my hand.
Then was low pulley cable rows, pretty much the same thing, the last 2 sets I got a second wind and went up in weight, pulled the attachment to the chest and stuck the chest up and pulled the shoulder blades back. 4 sets of those and we looked run over.
Next was rear delts, I did 120 for 20 Next I did 160 for 12 Then 180 for 8 finally 200 for 5 and was smashed.
We finished off with dumbell shrugs supersetted with cable uprights.
3 sets each, 150lb dumbells I was good on the first 2 sets with 15 reps holding the top contraction, on the last one I got 10 and was just toast... All while my favortie gym personality tried to stealthily watch...ahh that was a nice finishing touch to the lift lol.
Next was hams, calves and abs.
Started with lying leg curls warmed up with 10 then 12, first set was with 16 I did 14 reps good squeeze...noticed my favorite person again, ignored, went back to work.
Next set was on 18, smashed out 8 nice ones. Then looked up and my little anonymous friend was next to me on the extension machine...again ignored, but made mental note lol.
Next was the stack, did 6 reps, lastly was stack plus 4 5's and got 4 dropped to 12 crushed 15 more, put the pin on 8 and did 25 partial reps low end of the range of motion.
Moved to one leg leg curl standing, did 10, 12, and 16 (stack) hams were cooking from lying leg curls.
Last was seated leg curl, put the pin on 150 then curled and held the contracted position these hurt me. First set was 18. Next set I did 21. Last set I managed 15,,holy fuck!
Then was donkey calf raise, my buddy got in on these, we started with the stack which I did 30. Added a 45 I got 25 easy, added another 45 I got 20, added one more 45 and I got 14, calves were blasted, and then finished off the workout with lying leg raises supersetted with the crunch machine 3 sets. DONE!

Had a couple days off, and went to the gym Sunday to do arms.... what a fucking disaster...I have been flat as a board trying to fill back out.
Started off with pushdowns seemed fine, went to skull crushers and fucked my elbow all too pieces...
Its my own fault, I was getting pissed, and my temper got the best of me put on 145 on there and first rep it just made pop, it wasnt a tear pop, more like I giant knuckle popping.
The elbow got enflamed I didnt even bother with any of the rest of the workout I went home and iced it, its sore today but should be ok, how much time its going to take is anyones guess.
I had this exact injury one time before, same sound, same spot, same feeling, I was able to do presses relatively quick after the injury last time but single joint exercises will probably be at least a couple months.
I can still do back and legs and those bodyparts need more work anyways so looks like I will be doing the injury dance for a while.

Had the same fuckup with skullcrushers about 4 years ago, hurt like a bitch and wasn't sure hoiw badly I fucked it, I never go to a doc unless I am bleeding and cannot get it to stop..lol I stayed away from them for quite awhile but have gotten back to them a few workouts ago, I start light and work upwards gradually with the weight even after doin g other tri excercises first now. Hit the legs like a fucking lunatic if you have to stay off upper body for awhile, that is one thing I do when I have an injury to make me feel less like a fuckup, work what I can HARDER (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Great log Aj, legs today myself (IMG: style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) ZOIKS
